Don’t count the days, make the days count.
This was commissioned by my oldest friend, Mrs P. Mrs P’s husband, Big D, is a policeman and works very hard. It’s his birthday coming up soon and she wanted to create something special. With Big D working shifts, and young children, family time together is precious. Sometimes it’s hard to remember that you need to make the most of there here and now.
I’m impatient, if I have something coming up that I’m looking forward to I start counting, usually in sleeps – a legacy of having children. This looking too far forward sometimes means that I don’t concentrate on the here and now. This print has reminded me that I need to be present, in the now to make the most of life.
You’ll see that this print has a policeman’s helmet in the ‘o’. We can change this to anything or just leave it as an ‘o’.
